Eclectic thoughts…
1) It’s exactly a month before my birthday. (edit: now it’s exactly 29 days before my b-day. *lol* When I added pics I clicked on update time by accident which bumped it to the 13th.)
2) I don’t think any birthday can trump 2004 when I met my twins for the very first time!
3) I have been growing my hair out again so that it’s long enough to pull it back for my next trip overseas. That and Eric likes long hair… I want it back to at least these pics. However, I plan on helping my curls better this time around by changing the way I wash etc. Sidzwife has been talking about a book called curly girl that I really want to get a hold of and read!

You can have our snow, we have more on the way and school has already been cancelled. It is funny how the freak out around here over 3 to 4 inches. I suppose this is as good as time as any to get used to much more snow in our future!
I hear you about sleeping before midnight! Also I am growing out my hair too. Curls can be so much fun to take care of, I am glad you have the other Sarah to share with!
It is hard to believe you have only have had the twins since 04, that doesn’t seem that long ago!
Thanks for the update, I read it on Titustwo earlier and am so glad to here things are getting better. Praise God!
I can’t imagine going in to meet two little girls KNOWING that I get to take them home to be mine. Amazing!! I just well up with tears thinking about it.
How old are you? Your longer hair makes you look younger.
You should get the Curly Girl book, for real… but the site discussed on the WS is enough to get you started, I think.
I got my book from Amazon. Pheebs hair really likes curly girling…
All the pictures you added are all so beautiful! You can really feel the excitement and transition in those simple still photos, they definitely tell a story! I especially love that last family one, where (I think I have the names right) Phoebe is making eye contact with Caleb, and vice versa!
I just noticed in that same photo Jared is holding little Chloe’s foot, his smile is like they have been siblings forever!
ryc: you’re on my protected list.
ryc. That is so neat that the ladies taught they boys play “cuckoo” I did notice that and thought it was so sweet! I imagined the boys were so endearing from all the love they have received from the two of you. They really are such sweet boys, they looks so tender and delighted by the girls The girls are just in amazement, how old are they in these pictures? They look about Maria~Angelica’s age. They really are so CUTE! What a happy day!
ryc. They are around the same age! Now that you tell me that I do remember you telling me how cold it was, poor babies! Everyone looks so friendly and they look well taken care of. Maria~Angelica had a 9 mth. onesie on today, but is in 12 months now, she is kind of tiny, I think a bit on the short side, like my MIL. LOL! : ) Do you have these pictures framed in a collage frame? They are really fascinating!
Praise God for answered prayer! You stood on the promise, and God honored that. What time do you get up in the morning? All it takes to cure my insomnia is a few days of hearing the alarm clock go off at five/six. Then I’m back in bed around 10-ish.
ryc: (Checked your blog before I checked mine…) I don’t think that your homeowner’s policy would cover Myrtle (there is usually a clause in there that says any kind of “vehicle” that can be registered is not covered), but you could see what your insurance agent says. We insured ours under our auto policy, and it only costs — I think — an extra $60/year.
I have had trouble sleeping for about 4 years now due to fibro. Here are a few suggestions that I’ve been told:
~Never read or watch tv in bed. A bed is for sleeping, not lying there awake. If you want to read at night, sit up in a recliner or on a couch, then move to bed and go to sleep. (I’ve always loved reading before going to sleep, but when sleeping becomes really hard, I do follow this rule.)
~I’m sure you’ve heard it, but don’t have any caffiene with/after dinner. Try not to snack or dessert within two hours of going to bed.
~Don’t nap at all during the day. When sleep becomes a problem, and I’m forcing myself to stay up (somehow I manage to doze starting about 7:30!), I find that if I can stay awake all evening, then I will get better sleep at nighttime.
~Keep regular times. Try to go to bed/get up about the same time every evening/morning.
Some other tips (I’m sure there are lots of sites to read, but this is the first one I came across) are at: http://www.sleepnet.com/tips.html
PS: I also have restless legs and I take an antidepressive to calm night anxiety in my legs.
Hope any of this helps!
I go through periods of time when I also can’t sleep. I find reading eventually helps, but I end up reading for a while!
