Home

It feels good to be settling back into our routines at home after a full summer of travel. Would you believe that tonight we have a frost warning in our county?! Where did summer go?! Not only did we make sure to bring in our veggies from the garden but tonight we also took our campfire inside.
I tried to capture how serene of an atmosphere our home was tonight by taking a picture of the fireplace. The kids were all quietly reading, coloring or building with legos while mesmorized by the glow of the fire. I was just lucky to get our Dachshund to be naturally posed without being all flopped out like she normally is when the fireplace is bursting with warmth! This picture isn’t crisp, especially compressed but, when I showed Eric what I took he said, “Wow, that looks like a picture in a magazine” because of the setting. So, I decided to share a little piece of our home with you.

Wow! I’m coming to visit you! LOL Like the reply above, we’ve been in the 90s and upper 70s at night. No fires here…but it does look cozy.
I’ll be MORE than happy to trade with ya. LOL
Did you get onto the new board? I saw your message on yahoo via email. You do have to reregister. I got on pretty quick this time. It looks ALOT different but it kinda neat once you get used to it.
Oh yeah, and I don’t camp here because it’s too hot!
We tried once and thought we’d bake ourselves in the tent it was so hot and stuffy…seriously, it was bad and we ended up in a hotel the 2nd night because we didn’t want to go home. LOL
Home, sweet home. It’s always nice to back after traveling.
Thanks for stopping by. Your children are beautiful too! Please stop in any time. Enjoy the cool temps!
Where DO you live?!? That’s crazy to me that you are already enjoying your fireplace!
It’s high of 94, with heat index of 100 or so today. Can I come visit you?!?
What a warm, inviting, and cozy picture. Sounds lovely with your kids reading and coloring near the fire. Thanks for sharing, you have me wanting crisp cold days now!
This picture is just beautiful. You captured the peacefulness of your home so well. I’m sorry to hear about your mom’s upcoming surgery. But good for you to reject all the negative “curses” that the enemy would have you embrace. Instead use words of blessing and encouragment to believe God’s best for your mom. Hard to do, but so helpful! Alesha
The picture is lovely… makes me want to come right over!
That picture makes me think of Thanksgiving! I love it
