Last Day On Earth, maybe not!
Yup, I’m still here… We have been busy with Christmas festivities. I hope to get time later today to put some pics up. I am careful right now not to spend too much time staring at the screen because it triggers those silly migraines.
Anyway, we all got haircuts yesterday right smack during the blizzard. I live in a town that is basically all built on a hill. Seeing five o’clock traffic sliding all over the hills is quite a scene! It was so bad watching people slip and slide all over the place that just before we got out of the van Caleb says very seriously in his black and white personality, “I have a feeling this is going to be our last day on earth.” If I wasn’t so nervous myself I would have busted out laughing as I did later when we were safe at home retelling the story to Eric. He was out of the van at the moment feeding the meter when Caleb said the comment. Not wanting to show the kids that I too was nervous I asked, “Well, is everyone here ready to see Jesus? Are you all right with the Lord?” I heard a bunch of “OH YES!” Then I nonchalantly said, “What’s there to worry about then? The worse that can happen is that we will be seeing Jesus today! (insert quick prayer for safety) Let’s go!” With that the kids all cheerfully got out of the van and I am happy to report that we are still here with you all.
Although a bit more handsome I must say after everyone now has a fresh hair cut.
We decorated our tree last night…. ate a gingerbread house from Aunt Doris… now I must run to get the kids flu shots for our travels. Hope to post more soon…

That is hilarious. Caleb is so precious. Let’s see a pic of the new hair cuts!
That is too funny! Thanks for sharing it!
Sounds like you’ve got a comedian on your hands!
Great hearing from you.
That’s wonderful! All in all, wondeful that you are still with us, wonderful that if you weren’t you all would be in good hands, wonderful that your son is so precious and wonderful that you are all protected from the flu too! And with fresh haircuts, to boot!!! : )
RYC: Yeah, I know what you mean. My mom and I have watched that video over and over and over again. “Papa” is my dad. My parents (and Trav’s) go by “Nana & Papa.” My dad had stopped by (they live around the corner from us), and when he had to leave, that was Olivia’s response.
The dress Bethany was wearing is her Christmas dress–Olivia has one just like it. Nana & Papa gave the dresses to them last Tuesday night. My grandparents were in town so we had Christmas with them, and that’s when the girls got their dresses.
Is your hair naturally curly?
ryc. Well, Sarah, I am all about having a good time! Especially if includes a good dinner a great company! I hope we get to break bread someday!
