Second Cousins!
Last night we went over to my Aunty Elaine’s and Uncle Doug’s house for “family night” to celebrate our Grampa’s 75th birthday. For some reason I never got an actual picture of Grampa!
I’m hoping someone else in the family did. Anyway, my cousin Kimmy beat me to the ‘second cousins picture’ but I think hers turned out the best. So, make sure you go visit her blog to see.
We had Aunty Elaine’s DELICIOUS salmon pie!! YUM! The kids had a blast playing together. (The pics are a littly blury as the kids moved around too much while trying to take their pic but it tells the story regardless.)Gavin teaching Caleb how to make “Double Decker” paper airplanes.
My sweetie pie cousin KB! She asked me to take her pic.
Kimmy she looks a LOT like you here! I got a special treat before saying goodbye of KB showing me her newest dance moves she learned at her lessons last night.Another shot of the Second Cousins Clan. Gavin (age 9), Jared (age 8), Caleb (age 7), Kayla (age 6), Chloe and Phoebe( age 4 on Friday). We only had one kiddo cousin missing which was Eric and Kimmy’s Mitchell who just turned 11. These are all of Grampa’s GREAT Grandchildren so far. Great they are!!

Eric and I then ended our night by taking a trip to Toys R Us, since we were so close, to shop for the twins’ birthday this Friday. Don’t tell but we got them this doll house as a joint gift. We will have to add some of the extra furniture later for Christmas that didn’t come with it. I couldn’t believe they actually had a TWIN doll house.

Oh, I don’t know. I like your picture of all the kids on the couch an awful lot. All those sweet smiles on those little girls. Great dollhouse. I’m sure the girls will love it!
It’s fun to have cousins to grow up with.
It has been a REALLY long time since I have posted on your site….I was not up and running at our new home for many, many months. I really do enjoy your sweet site and love hearing about your children and seeing pictures of them. There is such a sweet specialness about them. Maybe it is because of the love and efforts that were put into bringing them into your family.
How is the new adoption going? I will continue to pray that all goes well with this. I would have loved to be able to adopt…at least one…but I cannot fathom where we would be able to come up with the steep cost that is involved. I really admire your faimly for the sacrifices that you are making to grow your family.

I love the couch picture. I’ve done that every Easter with my kids-now I can see the progression of growth for each year. It’s priceless and so neat to see family’s who connect like this. Second cousins? Most folks don’t know their second cousins…!
This is a wonderful group of pictures.
Oh that is so neat about the twin doll house! The girls are going to be so cute playing with that! Happy Birthday to them!
All the pics are so nice, the children are so blessed to have second cousins to grow up with!
Happy birthday to the girls!
Hope you all have a blessed day together!
BTW, major props on the doll house. It looks like something they can both enjoy for a while! It’s also something you can use to teach about family values and skills.
Just found a new book at the Answers in Genesis website you, and especially your boys, might be interested in. It’s called “Unwrapping the Pharaohs: How Egyptian Archaeology Confirms the Biblical Timeline.” Granted the text might be a little overwhelming for your kids at the moment (although your boys are bright so I wouldn’t put it past them), there are pictures and diagrams and it comes with a 90 minute DVD.
Figured you might be interested so I thought I’d pass the word on.
