First Snowfall/Happy Gotcha Day!
I know I'm late on this, but the boys will want it on our blog none-the-less. Oct. 29th was their celebration of when they officially became our sons. Seeing that November is National Adoption Month it really isn't too late.
The boys were thrilled to have our first snow fall on their Happy Gotcha Day! Below you can view the birds coming to our feeder while it's snowing via video. Forgive the Roy Rogers serenade in the background. lol

Their Happy Gotcha meal. The boys picked kielbasa, beats, turnip and mash potatoes. I suppose that is pretty close to what we could find in Ukraine! =)

I can't believe that you've already had that much snow up there!!! It doesn't seem like you're really that much farther north than we are. And what a meal they picked! Would you ever have guessed?
@likejelly - We find that the weather pattern for snow changes just about where my Mom lives. She will often call and ask if I can make it down for something and I am always confused why she would ask in a blizzard. Then I remember she is not getting the snow we are! lol
I was surprised by their meal choice too. This is what they told me...The turnip is from a Russian/Ukrainian children's story. Beets remind them of Borscht. The kielbasa reminded them of the big sausages we would get at the markets in Ukraine.
Uh, the mash potatoes I think are probably just because they liked them.
Although, I find it interesting that they love mash potatoes so much. In the orphanages they feed infants watered down mash potatoes because there isn't enough milk. I'm probably analyzing that one too much. lol It does make you wonder though.
Happy Gotcha Day! Their special day is just 3 days after my birthday! That is so cool. And the snowfall is simply beautiful! I can't wait until our first snow comes in. God bless you all.

Thanks for including the video of the snow. I never get to see that beautiful, peaceful site down here. (I've only lived out of the state of Florida for 5 years of my entire life! Those 5 years were in Virginia and I enjoyed the fall and winter season changes there so much!!!)
So, I really enjoyed the video. Roy Rogers was just an added benefit!!!

We just got a cold snap here, and that video topped it off! Boy, do I miss the snow. Happy Gotcha Day to your wonderful boys! I love that you celebrate that day! I'm not even sure when my gotcha day was, I'll have to look it up and give myself an excuse to celebrate with a brownie
