  • Merry Christmas!!

I know I haven't been around xanga land for quite sometime, but wanted to wish all of my friends a very Merry Christmas. May you all be blessed with the grace and peace of our Heavenly Father as you celebrate the greatest gift He gave--Jesus!

I hope to catch up on the highlights of our year 2009 soon, but for now here is a picture of a very special "star" that we placed on our Christmas card....

    Lovejoy Star

If you haven't heard yet...we have a new little blessing in the family! =) Our sweet little angel's name is Gabriel.

  • Mobile Practice

Just practicing posting from my new phone. I know you will want a pic of baby the moment baby is ours! :-) The pic above is a toddler size garden bench that we got from a yard sale. Eric fixed it all up for our younger ones. The twins, to my surprise, still fit on it quite well. I really only attached the pic to see how well the camera phone will take a pic and post. :)
  • Needing to Catch Up....

I hope to catch up on some of our family events soon. In the meantime, know we have been having a great start to our summer, and we are even matched with another birthmom for adoption again. If you were a reader on my previous domestic adoption blog on blogger, I want to inform you that I am updating there again, as we are adopting from the same State this time around too. =)

Now I need to figure out if I can update this blog via mobile phone because it would be easier to make the announcement on the road when the legal papers are signed! I figured out how to do it on blogger, but not on xanga yet.

  • God Answers Prayer!!!

In regards to the previous post....This just came in from National Chi Alpha...

"Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, USA is pleased to give you a final update on our Cornell chapter. They had a meeting with the Dean of Students and other interested parties and the university has decided not to contest their action. In addition, they've had their funding restored by the student government."

All I can say is PRAISE THE LORD!!! Thank you for those who joined us in prayer! We are so proud of our Colleagues for standing firm within Biblical precepts. They came against much worldly pressure, but did not buckle. Please continue to pray with/for them, as they finish their year strong. May God continue to bless their faithfulness to HIM! =)

To our prayer warriors... PRAYER WORKS! =) Never ever underestimate what you can do through prayer while you are at work, taking care of your children or whatever it may be. I know many times I fall into the thinking that I am not much help to my husband ministry wise when I am so busy with my four children and the household responsibilities. However, I have finally come to really grasp the importance of praying behind my man as he is on the front lines of the missions work. God works when we storm heaven with our petitions! I will be honest that this week I felt helpless knowing all that was going on in Eric's ministry, as well as the ministry at Cornell. I prayed day and night. I prayed every moment I could. I prayed when I woke up in the middle of the night, and I prayed between each interaction with my children. I do not say these things to be prideful, but rather to encourage you all.  If anything I have been quite humbled, as God gave me this great honor to pray in such a time as this. Prayer intercessors are just as important as those who have gifts within the church that might seem more outward. Remember,  GOD HEARS OUR PRAYERS AND HE ANSWERS! =)
